Welcome to this page, bringing together resources from across the Digital Champions training programme in 2024 in one place.
Digital Champions Taster Session
We ran two taster sessions so people could find out more about the Digital Champion role and training programme before signing up.
Session Resources
Working with Clear Community Web, we successfully delivered four half day tailored in person sessions to our Digital Champions cohort. You can access the slides, as well as additional resources, for each of the sessions below.
Digital Champions Network
To provide ongoing support, we purchased licenses for Digital Champions completing the training programme to join Digital Unite's Digital Champions Network. This provides a comprehensive framework to support their delivery of digital skills training and support. It offers 25+ CPD-certified e-learning courses, along with a wide range of resources like session plans and training tips.
The platform includes tools for project management, progress tracking, and impact measurement, as well as access to a community for idea sharing. We encouraged the Digital Champions to use the platform log to keep a record of the digital support they go on to provide to community members.
Sim Card Referrals
Superhighways is registered with the National Databank to distribute free unlimited data SIM cards to Kingston residents in need.
Charities, community groups, and local statutory or health services can refer eligible individuals, who must be 18+ and living in low-income households. Each organisation can refer up to five individuals at a time, and after six months, new SIMs can be requested.
