In an increasingly complex and fast-moving technology landscape, how can small charities and community organisations get started, keep up and get ahead?

In a short interactive session for London Funders Festival of Learning in June 2025, Superhighways shared findings from our support for organisations funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and Trust for London.

Key topics for discussion included:

  1. what basic tech infrastructure looks like at the grassroots
  2. the unique challenges non-charities face
  3. advice for better early tech choices
  4. the cross over with best use of data

Funders heard stories from small organisations navigating technical complexity as they balance the demands of fulfilling their purpose.

Basic tech guide: next steps

Superhighways will shortly publish a basic tech guide for small charities and community organisations.

It will suggest what smaller organisations need in place as they establish and begin to grow so that they can make informed decisions.

Email Superhighways if you would like to be involved in testing the guide.
