Sway is an easy-to-use digital storytelling app for creating interactive reports, presentations, personal stories and more. Its built-in design engine helps you create professional designs in minutes.

Sway is a Microsoft app available to anyone using Office 365.  Use it to create a quick eNewsletter, longer thought piece or presentation and share via email or a link.  You can choose from a number of templates and add in multi media content. 

 

We put it to the test to do a Round up Sway of our recent Kingston Data Day, adding images and slides from the event (first uploading to SlideShare) and here are our 3 top tips:

  1. You can't copy and paste text into your Sway, so the quickest thing to do is to save as PowerPoint or Word and upload into the Sway - it will turn it into document cards that you can then work with easily. 
  2. You can't add padding - though it will recognise a return space after text.  
  3. Don't highlight text and hit delete - you will lose the complete block!  Instead use the backspace key...
